Recreated from one of the greatest, romantic classical ballets,
Giselle tells the unforgettable story of a young peasant girl
and her love for Albrecht, Duke of Silesia. Danced in full costume
with live orchestral accompaniment by the Queensland Philharmonic
Orchestra, Francois Klaus's production of Giselle will delight
audiences with its fresh portrayal of the timeless and universal themes
of innocence, true love, duplicity, betrayal and forgiveness.
"Klaus...has amazed. The grace of his choreography held the audience
spellbound. Not even a whisper disturbed the concentrated silence
of the crowd as the corps de ballet moved with perfect synchronism
and the leads leapt and spun with ease and agility."
